King Lear’s wise fool.Who doesn’t need someone like him?
Hello friends,as you know I’ve been away for sometime,I was busy with my personal problems…
For now, meet my beautiful friend :)I don’t know her name, couldn’t decide what to call her yet.She is one of the most well-behaved dogs I’ve ever met ! She could curl up and pose for me for hours. That enabled for me to make lots of sketches.Countless sketches. No,she is not sick.Quite healthy indeed:)
Of course she didn’t always remain in one position. She got up,stretched, looked around…
At first I studied construction of the muscles of the dog at home.Took notes.
While drawing from life,it’s so hard for me to capture the foreshortened view.Luckily this beautiful girl likes to lie down and it doesn’t bother her how much time I’ve spent scrutinizing her.Hardest part for me was setting the eyes.Fortunately most of the time she kept them closed…. We played together,I gave her food but she was reluctant to eat, probably not hungry at all…Then came her friends with whom she gladly shared her food…Her friends were very interested and curious about my bag and everything unlike her.Luckily there were other people to keep them interested…So that’s all for now, thanks very much for reading our story!Have a great day!
Reference is oil painting by great Théodore Géricault.A depiction of a shipwreck man…( http://www.conceptualfinearts.com/cfa/2014/10/15/frieze-master-2014-a-step-forward-into-quality/dsc_6959/ ) You can feel the suffering, misery, desolation, hopelessness in his extraordinarily expressive painting, not only this one of course ,in all of them, different characters manages to haunt the viewers in very different ways…
So in this terrible world we are living in,almost everyday migrants die in Mediterranean.Mainstream media degrades them to numbers, drowning is almost normalized. Some consider this is not even newsworthy. Announcers don’t even deign to think that they were just like everyone, had hopes, dreams, they loved someone…besides this, why were they escaping, why were/are they risking their lives?Who are directly or indirectly responsible for this tragedy?Indeed, who aren’t…What the imperialism, cooperations oil contracts have done to their home…Actually it’s wrong to use pronoun ‘them’,they are us indeed.I’m not any different from them. Will ever humanity take precedence over politics?I don’t know…For now I see no civilisation, and humanity is “wrecked”..And my words are only words,do not contribute to anything.I hate the way the world ignore and exploit lives and then distractes themselves with pretty things 😦
Petrel41 Dear Kitty. Some blog is so very generous and kind to nominate this blog for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Thanks so very much for your support!Lately I got stuck, and my works -I cannot use the word “art”for them-are not going anywhere,I got too many ideas but not enough crew…All in all everythings is so monotonous, not even close to “versatility”.So thanks so much for your encouragement,it has a great importance to me,I wish all the best for you my friend 🙂

Another one is that I met a famous and successful sculptor who is master at his art,two months ago…We had a conversation about art in his atelier…He is such a modest person which makes me admire him more and more.Sparsely furnished interior of which every corner is full of sculptures and paintings in various sizes had timeless and unmatched beauty where joy and sadness brew…It was spectacular. His words for me and to my drawings (he uses the french word”dessin”)were all priceless… 🙂
My seven questions for my nominees are:

Recently I’ve been captivated by the great Russian artist Zinaida Serebriakova…I’ve drawn one of her paintings : http://www.wikiart.org/en/zinaida-serebriakova/sleeping-katya-1945 The reason why I’ve been studying those fascinating artists that there is infinite amount of things to learn from them (at least for me).Trying to delineate an oil painting in pencil is a big struggle.More struggle means more devotion which as a consequence manages to draw me into character…
Friends thank you all very much for looking at my work, have an amazing day 🙂
Georg Dionysius Ehret tarafından yağlıboya bir illustrasyonun(https://www.pinterest.com/pin/575405289864638050/) kurşunkalem çizimi:)
My pencil sketch of an oil painting painted by great Georg Dionysius Ehret. Not an easy thing to interpret an oil painting in pencil.Especially in A4 paper.Trying to learn from the masters…Long been lingering in the “trying” stage 🙂
